His connections and resources are enhanced by his role as General Manager of Community Futures in the Central Okanagan, Past Chairperson of the Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission and being a Management Consultant. Larry's clients and projects receive well thought out planning, execution and management in a highly collaborative, effective and entrepreneurial manner.
Ali has been with CFDCCO since 2015 and manages the Self Employment Program offering client support, business counselling, and administration of entrepreneurship programs. Ali is a graduate of UBCO with a bachelor’s degree in sociology, where much of her research and course-work focused on Canadian society, gender, family structure and societal conditions that influence access to employment and social services. Ali has eight years of experience working in an administrative and marketing role in Kelowna’s real estate industry assisting agents with advertising, marketing materials and client management. She comes from a family of entrepreneurs with first-hand experience in family-owned businesses and self-employment that helps her have better perspective and client centered focus in her work.
Cheryl is a business advisor and facilitator for CFDCCO. She provides customized training and consulting services to Okanagan businesses and organizations that support business. Cheryl specializes in strategic planning and management practices and has worked with private enterprises, educational and not for profit organizations throughout the Okanagan Valley. Cheryl can assist businesses at all stages with any business planning, financing, training and counseling needs.
Andrew Gregson is the author of Pricing Strategies for Small Business and the former owner of several small businesses and 2 franchises in Vancouver. He operated business contracting to the big box stores with a predetermined gross margin of 44%, month in and month out for 13 years. Andrew Gregson also worked for a Chicago consultancy and analysed a wide range of businesses – from machine shops, to parts and service businesses and printers, dating services and piano retailers - to establish why they were not as profitable as they should be. Andrew is an experienced lender with over 15 years in finance, turnarounds and business financing. Susan has been with the CFDCCO since 1992 and is retiring in March 2020 after 28 years of employment with CFDCCO, Thanks to Susan, contracts, documentation, registrations and loan funds are solidly administered. Lindsey is our new go-to person for loan administration. With over 10 years of office management and 20 years of experience in customer service, Lindsey is well versed in small business needs. She has strong problem solving, technology, software and online abilities as well as a wide variety of business administration experience to round out her skills and tools to help CFDCCO clients.
Jane has been with CFDCCO since 1998 and is responsible for all of the bookkeeping, accounting preparation, banking, payroll and accounts payable and receivable. She has a Diploma of Business Administration and has an extensive history of self employment through owning and operating an orchard and a vineyard for a ten-year period. Jane is an active community member in South East Kelowna including being Treasurer for the East Kelowna Hall Society.
